This page records how Rage of Fénix describes the works and recordings it publishes. It is intended to keep credits and terminology consistent. It is not a court judgment and does not claim that a website can settle a disputed right.

The project’s position

Taig Mac Carthy composed the songs’ melodies, chord progressions, structures, defining riffs, guitar parts, and lyrics before the group performed them.

The surviving archive supports that chronology. It includes TuxGuitar tablature, MIDI, lyric files, Logic Pro and GarageBand sessions, other original project files, and recordings made during the historical life of the band.

The other musicians developed their performances within the framework of those compositions. Rage of Fénix therefore credits Taig as the composer and songwriter of the released catalog.

Historical performances

Former band members performed on historical rehearsal and live recordings. Those contributions belong to the history of Rage of Fénix and are acknowledged as historical performances.

That acknowledgment does not identify former members as composers. It also does not identify them as performers on the recordings released in 2026.

Descriptions on this site use formulations such as “historical recordings featured” or “originally performed by.” They avoid presenting the historical lineup as the personnel of the new releases.

The 2026 recordings

The masters released in 2026 are new phonograms produced by Taig Mac Carthy using Suno AI from original compositions and recordings.

Taig initiated and directed the process, prepared the source material, supplied lyrics where required, iterated, rejected and selected versions, sequenced the releases, and mastered the final recordings. The 2026 metadata identifies Taig as composer and producer. It does not list former band members as performers on those phonograms.

The project’s position is that the new phonograms are distinct from the historical source recordings. This public statement describes the project’s position; it does not ask the reader to treat that position as an adjudicated finding.

AI disclosure

Suno AI was used as a production tool.

The historical recordings were supplied at full audio influence with no style prompt. The compositions—including melody, chords, structure, riffs, and lyrics—predated the AI process. Suno contributed newly rendered audio; Taig directed the process and made the final selections.

The phrase AI-assisted production is used throughout this site because it distinguishes the role of the tool from authorship of the songs. A fuller account appears in The Machine Did Not Write These Songs.

Artwork and marks

The site uses the official Rage of Fénix logo and release artwork supplied by the project. Historical photographs and recognizable footage of former members are not used as decorative or promotional imagery.

Rage of Fénix, its logo, release artwork, and this site’s presentation may not be reproduced in a way that implies endorsement, affiliation, or ownership. This statement does not claim rights beyond those supported by the underlying work and project records.

Privacy

This site has no analytics, no advertising, no accounts, no tracking pixels, and no contact form. It does not intentionally collect visitor information.

Spotify players are embedded from Spotify. Loading an embedded player may allow Spotify to process technical information under its own privacy terms. Every release also includes ordinary Spotify and Apple Music links so visitors can choose to open those services directly.

The site does not set its own marketing cookies or build visitor profiles.
